The leading Louisiana plaintiff’s lawyer magazine recently published one of Jason Baer’s settlement successes. In June 2019, the Louisiana Advocates published Jason’s settlement in a livestock-related personal injury case. Jason recovered $1.25 million dollars for a victim whose car collided with a cow in the middle of the road. This was not the typical motor vehicle collision, and Jason’s arguments relied on unusual state laws that created a presumption in favor of his client.
The plaintiff was seriously injured and underwent epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, a radio frequency ablation, neck surgery, and, ultimately, had spinal cord stimulators implanted. Jason’s ability to think outside the box enabled him to identify little-known state laws and obtain a favorable settlement outcome for his client.
